AMP removal?? Crazy
Disconnected the wire harness plug and top screw, now how do I get this thing out? BTW, anyone have issues with shorts or power drains when you X is off? Gotta make sure it's stable.

Well it's a bit more complicated. You'll need to also fully remove the mounting bracket. Here's a link to Bluetooth retrofit that includes a good step by step on removing the amp/bracket:

You mean the radio amp? If so, got mine out without removing the bracket, the plastic is quite bendy and you should be able to squeeze it through. I've done it 4 times and no issues.

I am referring to the Alpine amp in the back left lower cubby hole where the cd six pack can be attached above. I got the radio out easily. It just looks like a lot of hassle to remove the amp for testing.

Ok, in that case then yes...the whole bracket must come out. It took me about 30 min to get it out and back in again, I was lucky with remembering where all the screws should go when putting it together again
