Exclamation Anyone installed an AFE filter in their 4.4?

Please see the last page in the "AFE install in 3.0" thread for some urgent help needed.

Many thanks.

Couldn't do it...

Had to uninstall.

In order for the bracket to clear, I had to disconnect a suction hose from an auxiliary air pump (for emissions). Without that hose hooked up to the air box, that vacuum pump just sucks air from the engine bay (loud and dangerous). If i wanted to disconnect the pump, I'd need to pull the relay, and most likely get a CEL.

So, if you DID successfully install this kit, I'd LOVE to know how you did it

p.s. Evosport and AFE have been great. Both companies get 2 thumbs up

Don't they make little filters for those? They fit right on there and all is good. Take a look at your local Pep Boys or something. I KNOW I have seen them B4
