Solenoid Valve Stuck Shut/Refurbished! Pic!

Took me about 30 minutes to get this thing apart. Passenger side is blowing hot when ac is on. Plus one of the ouput hoses was kinked behind the motor, explains why it was so bad and plugged up inside. Re-routed the hose and going to pop this back in a see how it does!

If the rubber has deteriorated then you will still get hot air into the cabin. That heater control valve is a common failure point among BMW's from 94ish all the way up. I just replaced one on a 98 328i that would get ZERO heat into the cabin. Upon disassembly found it was clogged with the rubber seals that had crumbled. Cleaned all that out and got great heat into the cabin... lol at all times. Had to replace it so that the valve was able to open/close as designed.

Hopefully yours was just stuck? Fingers crossed for you.

Luckily, all the rubber is still good! Just some build up I gently scrubbed off and all seems well. Hoping to get this leak sorted out in the next week or so then for the test. I'll post the results. Thanks alot!
