A5S 390R transmission flywheel inspection cover missing?

My 2001 3.0i has the A5S 390R automatic transmission. When under the car, I can see the flywheel through what seems to be an inspection port, as seen here, looking up from the ground.

It seems there might be a cover over this, to prevent stuff from getting in there. I searched realoem and found nothing. But I did find a thread here with a very similar transmission (360R vs. 390R), which shows a cover in the first post: http://www.xoutpost.com/837639-post1.html

Should my car have this cover?

If I'm missing it, how big a problem is it? How common is it to be missing? I'm also missing the covers on the engine sub-cover thing (e.g., for oil drain bolt access) and am not concerned about those ones.

Part number?

Thanks.

I'm missing the same piece on my A5S 390R - did you find the part #?

I found the same part for the ZF transmission:

Part #: 24-00-1-422-960-BOE

No, I never found the part, or even confirmation of its existence. Still hoping to find out. Gave up searching myself.
