E53 sitting high on rear right
Or have I just answered my own question, I was hoping it would level itself out but it seems to have just put more air in and sent it right up, |

Make sure when you put it on that it didn't bend under itself. It should be sitting sort of horizontal at rest. Not pointing down. When I swapped mine, it didn't need recalibration. That said, I've heard of some people having to recalibrate the entire system if they even thought of replacing a sensor.

If it's not obvious, he's talking about the sensor arm you just installed - it is an elbow shaped linkage. It is possible to attach it with the elbow going the wrong way which makes the readings weird.

Cheers guys, the sensor arm is the right way tho it was originally the wrong way which bought up the inactiv fault, I replaced with new sensor put the arms the right way pointing outwards towards the wheel and now it's decided to put more air in

Well, its a shame it wasn't easy like that.
If you have DIS, I would try the calibration routine. It might have tried to adapt to the old sensor and needs to learn the new one. Just throwing darts though... Haven't had one of these sensors fail (yet). I did recalibrate mine, but it was working correctly. The PO had jacked it way up.

It might be one of those things that clears if you disconnect the battery for a while. You really just need it to get used to having a properly working sensor.

Cheers for the info, nothing never seems so easy,
I was looking at buying inpa etc then work out how to recalibrate, I have been reading up on forums for this, I probably have done a few hundred miles now hoping it would work itself out but with no joy, I could try the old disconnect battery anything is worth a try, |
