Just picked up a 2006 4.8is, it has factory nav and DSP. A previous owner has already run an iPod adapter (30pin) into the glove box. I don't have Apple products, so I picked up a bluetooth receiver and plugged it in to the iPod cable.....and successfully paired my phone to it (so it powers up just fine via the cable). My Android phone seems to recognize the bluetooth receiver, as I successfully paired them. Problem is, my stock head unit doesn't see the BT device....I scroll through my options and don't see AUX or get any signal from the CD Changer slot. In fact, when I scroll the CD changer.....it recognizes there is no magazine inserted. So I can only assume its not wired into the changer port at the back of the head unit. Previous owner said it worked great with his iPod, I guess I will grab one from a friend to test it out.
Not familiar with any aftermarket stuff regarding BT.....anyone have anything I can try? If the iPod doesn't work or no one has experience here, I'll pull the head unit this weekend and see how it is installed.
TIA
