E46 steering wheel into e53

Will it fit? My steering wheel is worn and the e46 one looks identical. The car is a 2002 3.0L M sport. Has anyone tried it?

Already well documented. Do a search you'll find plenty of posts for this exchange.

This might help. Search M3 SMG paddle shift.

^Was going to suggest that. Your writeup is great, and on my list of future to-dos.

That is assuming they made a heated m3 wheel. I hope they did.

When would you need a heated steering wheel in Texas?

Not necessarily a need... more of a desire. The X currently has the heated wheel and I would not want to lose functionality. Also, I was surprised at how much I used it during our "winter" season. I play tennis and frequently temps are chilly on Sat mornings and in the evenings when matches are typically scheduled... so I used it quite a bit.
