Problem after problem.......
Well, firstly, my 03 X5....i had problems with my air suspension control unit a few months ago, replaced it and all was good, then up comes the same warning message, got it plugged in and it appears my rear right level sensor is gone, can these be cleaned and free'd up or is it a 'when they are gone they are gone' situation??
Past few weeks while I've had this problem the arse of my X5 has been up in the air and its been a very hard ride, then this weekend i had to drive about 20 minutes down a country road, it was a very VERY uncomfortable 20 mins, the X5 was bouncing around the place and it was very harsh, i then pulled in to get diesel, after getting diesel it was very reluctant to start??
When it did start it was running v rough, very slow to pull up hill, almost felt like it was in limp mode but not quite as i could get the revs up but wouldn't pull too good
Now, i then had to go away for 2 days, this morning it was even more reluctant to start, once i got it started it was doing some serious white smoking, then it seemed to drive fine?? if not a little noisier?? then i gave it a bit of welly on the throttle and it gave me a beep and then seemed to go into proper limp mode??? then drove like a bag of spanners again
Was fine once speed was up but any kind of stop and start at very low speed and very low revs it was rumbling and gurgling and all sorts
Anyone any ideas where to even start here??? I'm going to take a look at the level sensor this morning and see where that gets me but i doubt these problems are linked??? seems something in the engine/drivetrain was affected by the rough ride on the rout road
Thanks in advance
