Are these fluids okay?

Hey Xoutpost community peeps,

So I've been working on a (x5 2004 4.4) project for some time. And now I believe the brakes need to be changed next.

In doing so I started looking for fluids through RealOEM to get perspective on what I need to buy. I was then reminded of the Hydrolic/Power steering fluid and started looking through that too. Mine is dark brown :/

Are these 2 the ones typically agreed on?

Power Steering: CHF 11S (ES#2804394)

Brakes: Any Dot4?

Thanks.

Dot 4 is Dot 4. I use Valvoline.

If your X does in fact take chf 11s vs atf then any brand will do.

if your car takes Pentosin CHF11S, there will be a green sticker indicating it on the PS fluid cap. It most likely doesn't. You can buy it at Auto Zone.

Regular ATF is all you need if it doesn't take CHF11S.

Brake fluid: Dot 4 or Dot 3/4. Anyone of which will be OK. Suggestion: Valvoline Syn Dot 4 at retailers everywhere
Power Steering fluids: Check your cap if nothing use ATF Dextron 4 (bottle will say for Chrysler products on it. Don't ask why.

Going for Functional or clean look?
