Tire size options
Disclaimer: This might been asked before, however I didn't manage to get my self a clear answer by using the search. I just ( without doing proper research and just follow my BMW heart:-) ) got hold of set of style 63 19" rims (staggered 9 and 10) with 275/45/19 on all 4 wheels. Which I understand is "good to go", even though they should be 255/50/19 and 285/45/19. I want to replace the rear tires and just wanted to check my options with going wider on the rear while keeping the 275/45/19 in front (which are still good). I assume that my best option to just get a new pair of 275/45/19 and keep them squared? Or can I go wider on rears with out any drive issues? What is the max diff ratio between front and rear with staggered setup? I assume that ie 295/40/19 on the rear wheels would be to much of different in ratio with the front (diff -1.6%)? Thank you for any insights on this matter!!

If you're gonna go that route, a 305/40R19 is a much closer match to your 275/45R19. But IMHO, both 275 and 305 is a bit too wide for the 9" and 10" wheels.
