Interesting SLS problem. Yes I've searched ;)

I have a 06 E53 4.4 with Bav auto lowering kit, OEM hitch. Love it. Recently I've noticed every time I connect a trailer (I have 2) I get the Self Leveling Sus Inactive. When I unplug it goes away. I've towed jet skis 2,100 miles and got the error once then it went away. I've towed cars with a Uhaul dolly, short distances with no issues. Now every time I plug in a Jetski trailer I get the error. There is not loss in ride height or performance, just the error message. Any ideas?

Ps. I had a blinker go out on one trailer due to a poor ground, but the other trailer if mint, but still gives error.

Have you coded out the Self Leveling Suspension inactive check since you installed the lowering kit?

I'm not sure this will solve the problem, just deal with the symptom. I should have said the lowering kit is springs in the front and just adjusters that trick the sensors into changing the ride height in the rear. My bags are still in place.

The above code fix is perfect for someone removing their bags all together. For me just shutting off the error will work, but then I won't be alerted when something does fail. I guess I'll just know if I'm crooked or sagging in the rear.

I swapped out a sunroof cartridge the other day. Ever since, I've been getting a Self Leveling Suspension Inactive warning, but my car doesn't even have SLS. What is going on? Can I reset it? I do have a code reader.

I just did it today. Warning went away. I followed the thread and the video. It was easy. Now I'm wondering what else I can do. I also have a E46.

Update. Deleted the error, drove around noticed the rear starting to sag. Check fused, pump fuse blew. Replaced fuse. Ride height went back up. Drove around, parked noticed drivers side lower.

So I've had Arnott rear sport bags in my shopping cart for months waiting for this day. Figured I would upgrade when I sprung a leak. I watched the YouTube video how to change bags. Easy enough. I just hope I'm doing the right thing. I just didn't hear any air leaking.

Any advise?

Jack up the X to change the airbags, but when you lower the X do it slowly so that the air compressor can fill up the bags. Just dropping the X down will make it very hard for the compressor to inflate the bags.
