Can you remove the water pump impeller?
Does anyone know if the impeller can be removed? If so - Is it right or left thread? My thinking is do my own "upgrade" on a new plastic impeller water pump

You replace the whole pump assembly. The new pumps don't use plastic, they use a nylon reinforced material. No need to go metal.

I believe the impellers are a press fit, so there are no threads.
