driver window goes down without pushing any button

Ok, it all began one morning when I saw my driver window was down.
I thought it was just the regulator problem again.
When I removed the doorpanel I could smell burned electronics and the regulator motor was still hot and smelled fried.

Ok, so I order a new non oem regulator, installed it.
It goes up ok, but when reaching top it goes down again and it seems like the relay is not giving up, continues to feed volts to the regulator.

The only way to get it to stop is to remove the connector to the windowswitch.
that seems to reset it.

If I try again same things happen, up goes fine but goes all the way down again.. and 12V stays on forever until i disconnect the plug with the thicker cables on the switch unit.
I suspect the overcurrent protection is broken. Is it located in the switch unit?

The window itself seems to go up and down without any problem, but if I dont fix the problem with the 12V staying on it will fry the motor again..

Any good ideas very much appreciated,
I have searched but cannot find anyone that had similar issue..
HELP :-)

sounds like the relay inside the master window switch has failed. You can replace the relay if you are skilled in electronics repair. Or replace with switch.

yes, this was also my conclusion as it seems like the relay is not going off, or the overcurrent protection who should tell the relay to back off has gone kaputt.

I ordered a new switch as used part and hopefully it will do the trick :-)
