New X Seals and O Rings (Transmission Thermostat and Oil Cooler)

About to get this back together and was needing to know if the seals need lubrication before installing and if so, with what? Just coolant or is there something better out there? Thanks a lot!

I used some 3m silicone grease when connecting the AT thermostat and transmission cooler back together. I tried the coolant route for lube and found that 3m silicone grease worked much better. https://www.amazon.com/3M-08946-Clea...ds=3m+silicone


There are probably other cheaper brands of silicone grease, but my research found this had the best reviews, and me being a very new DIYer, I had to go with the safest route. I used it when lubing all orings for 3 hoses, an expansion tank, AT thermostat, drain screw, Transmission cooler. It was nice, it all snapped back together effortlessly.
