I can not thank upallnight enough for taking his time to come over and look at my car. Thank you so much!

I have an extra throttle body that I am going to swapout when I get a chance. If the throttle body is having problems I am surprised that the engine runs at all. I guess we shall find out....

If you replace the throttle body don't forget to resync the throttle body and the accelerator pedal. Don't recall exactly what the procedure is but you can look it up on the net.

0nce the engine did warm up it went into close loop and the 02 sensors were reporting data as it should. The long and short term fuel trim were within the operating parameters.

The only thing that was still a problem to me was that the throttle was still at 0. On my X the throttle data showed 9%.

Anyone on this forum ever have a throttle body go bad on them? What were some of the symptoms?
Cant help with this problem, just wanted to say good on you for going over and helping out the OP.

I think procedure is key in position 2 for 60 seconds then position 0 then start car for reset - when I cleaned my TB when doing the CCV job (it was out of the car) thats what i did and it ran fine

Hi guys,

I finally got a resolution for this issue and I wanted to post it for you guys. It actually turned out to be a bad spark plug on cylinder 3. The electrode was damage so after a fresh set of plugs it is running great again with no CEL. It has been several weeks and no issues. It seems like such a simple fix for all the work troubleshooting.

Thank you all again for all your help, especially upallnight!

My 2001 did this several times. Start it and sounds like it is completely misfiring.. Shut it off and restart and all normal. Over it's life, it did it 3 or 4 times. Traded that one in on a 2004 and it has done it once. Simply turn it off and restart it and it is fine. Of course it happened to the wife when I was out of town but I have her trained on shutting everything off and restarting.

Rebooting will solve almost anything electronic...
