Best location for Ground wire from amp

Hi,

Where is the best place for a Ground wire in the trunk/boot of a BMW X5 e53?

There are lots of locations where i could put one, but was wondering what others have done before i start drilling.

IMO, I would use the factory ground location in the boot.

IME, you will get some level of floor noise no matter how hard you try. And or I guess it depends if you have golden ears. I used a PA grade transformer to deal with that.

OK, the factory ground location is where the Negative/Ground wire from the battery is bolt to, so would make sense. Thanks

Yes. That is also my experience.

Freestyle . If you are running anything nice (in my case I was running F1, BE frontend, etc), this is the way to go. It will get rid of the floor noise !

No i'm not running anything particularly high-end.
But i got my hands on a relic back from when Mosfets were Mosfets. A 6-channel Denon DCA-800 amp with that spectacular 'well rounded' sound you just can't get anymore.
But despite using all the right grounding points, shielded cables and soldering everything together, i'm still battling both floor noise and alternator whine.
So i'm picking up any good advice that can help me get rid of it.
