4.6is exhaust with free rattle

I mentioned this in the “what did you do for you e53 today” thinking it would fall into the category of “what I did”, but I’ll try here as well.

So, I picked up a good set of rear mufflers off a sad Emola red is (hurt my heart to see her like that) anyway, got the exhaust home to clean it up and found there is a bolt/ in there (probably why she was in rough condition with no motor).

Besides dissecting the muffler, I’m thinking there is a cup and ball catch the bolt out of there, but a cutaway/ internal diagram/layout of the muffler would really help.

Knowing that most of you had been there and done that, and from all over the world, my hopes is you folks being smarter than o would have some tricks, tips, use the force ideas to get the bolt out and not have a baby rattler for an exhaust note.
