No more hazy headlights

So I got tired of the hazy headlights and the quick fixes so, this weekend I sanded with 2000 grit and applied 3 layer of clearcoat. I can once again see at night and only cost me 3hrs and $50.00. And yes those are 15 yr old headlamps. Now to repaint the bumper..

Polishing

I did mine recently as well and am very impressed with the difference in performance and looks! I polish my boat every year so have a nice 8" akita polisher with wool and cotton pads. I used 3M compound then the 3M white polishing to finish. I did sand them first-350,800, 2000 all wet sanded than the polishing. I haven't clear coated, kind of thinking they never came that way and if I need to do it every couple of years for better output I am ok with that.

I used Martin Senour automotive clearcoat from NAPA. Put 3 coats on then baked. Did the same thing to my daughters 2002 Beetle last year and it is holding up very well, even in the climate of the Virginia coast.

They actually had a UV coating on them, but a clear coat will hold up alot better AND you don't have top polish every 1-2 years....

Niiice, so when you say bake… like put it in the oven? I really wanna hit mine with clear so I don't have to worry about it every again but I wanna do it properly.
