Tracking due to not tightening under load
Hi everyone,
Interesting issue here, my x5 tracks left when I am doing over 50mph. If you are at a lower speed its straight. Having had all my wheels aligned and my track rods checked - Can only think that it was because I didn't tighten my near side (left) control and tension arm under load at the weekend and that this would be pushing the tyre at an angle that would cause the car to pull left at speed. Any other ideas? Please find attached my awful diagram, you can see that I have a force creating a larger contact patch outside of the tyre on the road the steering will then pull in that direction. That is my thinking?
