The LKM fault codes are stored in the "Cluster Memory". You need to get the software/interface to read this or take it to someone who has the software. When my LKM fried many years ago it took the local $tealership a week to work out how to read the codes that proved it was the LKM and then two more days to "program it" to the vehicle. That was the last time they ever saw the vehicle.

The issue causing my brake lights to stay on is a problem in the dynamic stability control unit attached to the abs pump.
