Vibration when accelerating and steering wheel shake
Weird vibration when accelerating hard. Seems to subside when trans shifts up But comes back as the revs go up in each gear. A few days ago I heard a clunk when downshifting. Not sure if this is a clue or not? Also started noticing steering wheel shake when braking hard at speed. Recently did the rear wheel bearings, rebooted the front outer cv joints, and new rotors and pads in the front. 125k miles. Thanks for reading |

Shaking under braking, your Thrust arm bushings are shot. Shaking under hard acceleration your Guibo is shot.

When you replace pads and rotors the brakes need to be seated or you can end up with vibration when braking. If you haven't, try braking from 60mph to about 5mph 6 times, increasing the braking force each time. Let the brakes cool some between each stop and after you are done drive for a decent distance so brakes cool down.
