Is there an alternative to the aluminium running boards

Hi guys
2009 last visit
Got my self a Le Mans 2006
I painted the running boards black
Looks pretty good , aluminium was looking tired ,
Is there a covering of some description to cloak them .?
I know the paint will rub off , and look tatty soon
Is there any thing out there . That will go on top of the running board
Regards ommis66

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Pull the running boards and powdercoat them if you want something durable and if you want to clean them back up

Just as RB said you are going to have to put a much more durable finish on it. Powder Coating would seem to be the way to go. There may be some prep work involved to get the surface to accept the powdered coating but worth it. Some people also have applied the spray in bed liner material on the boards but then has the finish of an off road rubicon jeep.
