Failed visual smog, reccomendations?

Finally got my monitors to set and all was well until the end of the test.

Smog tech revved the engine, and white smoke...

Not crazy amounts, but enough to fail visual.

Any recommendations?

The guy will retest for free. Just went through a 3month ordeal getting the o2 monitors to set.

oils, oil weights, additives, etc.

Any recommendations would be helpful. Except new valve seals.

thanks

Type in smog test in the search field. Lots of results you will find.

Haven't found much except a guy who used Lucas and atp additives.

Going to try a 0w40 oil and see what happens.

Any recommendations for the oil? Looking at royal purple, LM and castrol.

Not sure if high mileage oil would be the way to go...

I use Mobil 1 0-40 in my '05 4.4 and my '97 M3. Have had no issues... I also use Liqui Moly "Motor Oil Saver" every other oil change.

White smoke is steam. Was the car warmed up. Perhaps condensation in the exhaust. IF not then you probably have a bad head gasket. Either way it shouldn't effect the smog output. Water is an ok emission.
