Rear Control Arm Bushings (Swing Part)

Hi Guys,

I was not having any luck with the search options so I though I would just post. On the rear of X5, the lower control arm bushings on the inside appear to be part of the arm and there isn't a part number listed on realoem. Is there any way to replace these without buying a new control arm? That really seems like a waste to replace the whole arm for just those 2 parts.

Thanks guys for your help,

Lemforder bushings are readily available for the rear swing arm - they are the OEM - you need 2 of each

Thanks O3X5 but what I am looking for is the part number from BMW. Do they sell the bushings separately or do you have to buy the whole arm? Is there some reason why they want you to replace it?

look at the post above you lol you both posted at the same time.

why? simple, $$$$$. why have someone just buy the bushing when you can get them for the whole arm!

same concept as "dealer only" parts

^Bingo - BMW doesn't sell just the bushings because they sell the whole swing arm as "Genuine" - Lemforder sells the bushings separately but those exact bushings are in the "Genuine" swing arm which is $350 apiece

I used to be a vw mechanic so I've pressed out control arm bushings myself and always laughed at the suckers buying the entire arm lol

The inners don't wear at nearly the rate of the outer ball joint. When was the last time the ball joint in the knuckle was replaced?
