Relocate 6-disk cd player from glove box?

I received a 2001 X5 that has a 6 disk cd player in the glove box. Is it possible (and easy) to put it in the back with the nav unit ?

I believe the compartment where the driver side taillight is, is where the oem unit goes so it might be already wired for it. Take a look

That's real nice actually. So it's a factory unit installed in the wrong place pretty much.

Nope, it a factory unit made to be installed in the glove box. That is a Nakamichi unit made to be installed in another BMW model in the glove box. Someone just installed that unit in the X5.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. I remember seeing the picture of it in the owner's manual. Pretty clean look actually.
