Airbag reset tool

Being a German car newb, while fixing my window regulator I disconnected the side airbag and then put the key in. I now have an airbag light. Lesson learned.

I found this tool on Amazon that says it will work for up to model year 2003 and lists the X5 in the vehicles it'll work for. My truck is an 03 (production 11/2002). Can anyone tell me if it'll work? I'd prefer not to spend $100+ if possible.
