I haven't messed with this pump but it only has an inlet, an outlet and an electrical connector. Replacing it will be a very straight forward task.

You will likely need to drain the coolant before removing the pump, then refill and bleed the coolant system when done.

Yeah, sure thing.

Looks like this....

It's located at the lower side of the radiator - slightly behind and to the left of the lower part of the expansion tank, mounted on the inside if the left front fender... Approximately....

Not a bad as the 05 VW Golf I've just been working on - one heater hose junction is plastic and is 15mm away from the exhaust manifold. Fail....

Grabbed a picture for you - not bad access really.

Front of car is at bottom of picture, left side of car is to the right of picture. You can see the expansion tank at the left and the left-side AE bulb access cover at the centre bottom edge of the picture.

P.S. this is on the 218hp engine (M57D30TU) but I'm guessing the aux. pump location is the same on your 184hp engine (M57D30).

Actually, it's pretty dirty right now - I was thinking it's time to clean it all down.

It's pretty easy to keep a non-leaking engine clean - harder once there's a few leaks about the block. Fortunately, mines a tight unit.
