window motor

Good evening.
2001 x5 4.4
Is it possible to change drivers door window motor without removing the regulator assembly. I've done the back doors already,motors only .
Site not letting me search, sorry.

No you have to pull the complete assembly, but thats not a big deal: will take less than 5 minutes if the sound insulation is removed (cut the butyl using a sharp knife).

Yup , ended up taking out regulator. Not to bad , but windows was up , so i disassembled the motor to drop window down to get to the bolts to remove glass . Back was easier. One more to go and all my windows work.
