Remember, in the E46 3-series, they DON'T have FRONT PDC, but they can get REAR PDC as an option. Thus, there was never a problem of DDEs causing PDC problems in the 3-series.

If it is interference then it will be worth trying to relocate the ballasts away from the PDC.
I have a set of angel eyes awaiting installation and noticed that the ballasts are plastic and the cables aren't shielded. If you look at the Xenon ballasts on the other hand they are metal and the cable is shielded (although probably kick out a much higher voltage).
When I eventually get hold of an ECE drivers side (passenger side UK) Xenon Headlamp unit I'm going to try extending and shielding the cables between the ballasts & angel eyes if I have a problem with PDC.

This coming Monday, I'm going to connect longer wires to get the angel eye ballast all the back from the headlights/PDC. Hope this works.

Do you think a metal box is good a shielding for the ballast or are there any other ways to shield the ballast ?

Thanks.

Anyone had the same problem with the Angel Eyes from Custom Angel Eyes http://www.customangeleyes.com/ ???

I am more inclined to purchase this set because it is much easier to install and even if it is more expensive than regular Angel Eyes kit.

Anyone???

Well, This monday we (Me and the installer) tried to connect longer wires to get the angel eye ballast as far away from the PDC as possible but still the PDC is buzzing when on. Then we ran a long wire from the battery directly to the angel eye even then the PDC was buzzing. Now I'm totally confused.

The Magnetic field theory seems to be wrong and now seems to do with the power drawn by the angel eye ballast. I'm not sure what i need to try out now. I need the PDC more than the Angel eyes so I'm going to go with setting it up with the fog lights, only hoping that this does not cause any issue.

Again I curious to see the number of people having this issue after an angel eye install.

Thanks.

Yes, please someone help us out. My PDC is driving me nuts now that I have AEs. I end up turning PDC off now when I need to (or turn off my AEs), but would like to find a solution for both to co-exist.

There is a company in the UK called mstyle - www.mstyle.co.uk. They recently did a conversion and the same problem arose. They contacted their supplier who is going to supply them with some revised resistors (I have no clue what this means as am a complete numpty when it comes to this sort of thing) to try to solve the problem......just thought that might be of some use!!

Just phoned mstyle and it wasnt the resistors. They have fixed the problem though it seems. The problem was that the kits came with "booster inverter boxes" which boost the brightness of the lights above the normal 5 watts to get the real angel eye brightness. The X5 is apparently very sensitive to the ultrasonic signals coming from these sensors which was sending the PDC beserk. The manufacturer has now provided new booster inverter boxes which has sorted the problem. They are fitting them to an X5 this week and are going to send me some pictures today hopefully - will of course post them up!!

Looks pretty good, same setup as mine. what kind of bulb did you use for your turn signals? couldn't tell for sure if it was silver or some other color.
