Sunroof switch,"sporadic errors" take apart - FIX
Its and $80 part and figured it was broken anyway - so attempted to take it apart, (and fixed it in the process). My part number: 61 31 6 907 288 1. found instruction on net to remove button 2. the top button pulls straight off, small screwdriver and a little force 3.You will see 2 clips on each side to push the black cover off - I broke 2 of the 4 clips but it still held together when put back together. 4. the white slide has 2 tabs on each side that ride on a track. 5. track off with spring ball bearing 6. with the slide off, there are 2 white pieces that side in to keep the board down. Continued next post:

Part 2
7. my problem - Green corrosion most likely from water leaks (had my sunroof cassette replaced under warrantee years ago), other drain hole issue leaks over the years.
8. My fix, electric motor cleaner and an old toothbrush 9. back together (you can see top clip broken in center but 1/2 still holding on. WORKING PERFECT NOW!
