X5 won't start- headlights and NAV flash

Hi Guys/Gals. I was away for 6 days as I often am and when I went out to start the X this morning, a 4.4 2004 with 28K miles, it tured over easily but gave the loud TICK- TICK- TICK while cranking and the Xenons flashed and the NAV blinked on and off. Does this indicate a dead battery or not? Lights are bright etc. I'm waiting ofr BMW Roadside to come by- they say they want to boost start it. Should I let them do that? I do have a trickle charger/starter so I could do that too I suppose but since am not in any rush to go anywhere will wait for them I suppose.

Does sound like a battery problem, but for an '04, it sounds a bit premature. I see you're in CT - a bit cold up this way today, but not too bad. Do you keep your X garaged? GL & let us know how you make out?

I don't suppose you have the DSC button activated?

Nope

Drove to the dealer and on the way, after stopping for lunch, the light is out and all is well.
