I've never seen a 3.0 with a turbo, but I know ESS Tuning makes supercharger kits for the M54B30 engine that's in the 3.0 X5's. Turbocharging isn't really practical with these cars due to space restrictions and the amount of effort required to reroute the exhaust manifold.

Never waste time with 3.0i! Get the pre fl 3.0 diesel! Chip up to 225hp! Take turbo from fl 3.0 and put in the pre fl! Get more powerfull magistral pump! You could get about 250-260hp! Of course u can upgrade fl diesel...but reductors and gearbox are weak there! Throw away catalysator...empty mufflers or just cut them off!

The GM transmission is designated A5S390R, which refers to its rated capacity of 390NM.
Technique Tuning has a turbo kit designed for 330i automatics, but word on the forum is that they are hard to contact about it now. Most of the major supercharger kit suppliers like Active Autowerke, ESS, etc, have kits designed for automatic 330i's as well. All the above kits are de-tuned for the transmission's capacity. A few pioneering souls are making ebay kits work, now that more is understood about the MS43 engine management system used in these vehicles.
