Help - Front Suspension Extremely Low

I have a 2003 X5 with Air Suspensions. All four of my wheels are low, the driver's side is extremely low, I can't even stick a finger in between the car and the body of the vehicle. I know my abs module faulty, because I have the trifecta (abs, brake, and traction lights). I took the abs to a local repair shop to have it rebuilt, but still have the lights and code says the abs is unresponsive (see pics). The air compressor stopped working a couple of days ago. My questions are, do I need to replace the front struts or is the faulty abs module preventing the compressor from pumping air into the struts. Does the compressor pump air into the front struts?

And lastly, can the abs module get rebuilt again, or do I need to get another one? one more question, could the abs pump be faulty as well?

pics: SORRY ALL THE PICS ROTATED TO THE LEFT DURING UPLOAD.

Clear all fault codes and see if the system works again.
ABS Module may or may not be rebuilt, depends on the fault. Look for BBA Remanufacturing. They usually run their service sale on eBay for $99 shipped (ONLY on eBay). You send them the module and if they can can fix it, they will. They'll also let you know if the module is beyond repair. At that point, you need a new ABS module and it need to be coded to the car.

I have cleared the fault codes for both the DSC and suspension, before (about a month ago), when I clear the fault codes, the compressor will start up and pump the car up. but it has stopped doing that lately, even after clearing the codes. yesterday, I cleared the codes again, I heard the compressor start, but then stopped few seconds after.

I will try and take the abs module out again and send it out for rebuilding. could the abs pump behind the module be faulty? i'm asking because I has the abs module rebuilt once NOT by BBA, by a local shop.

AIR SUSPENSION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ABS -

They have their own modules. If your compressor stopped working you need to get a rebuilt or new one - it should only run at startup for a bit, but if the air suspension has LEAKS, the pump is working overtime to keep them up at ride height, and it will FAIL and be burnt out - fix your problems first.

The codes in the EHC (air suspension) module are hard faults and need to be reset with DIS - so if you fix the leaking suspension you need the module faults cleared to be operational again.

Since you are saying all 4 of your wheels are low I assume you have EHC2 (2-axle air suspension) with the ride height button on your dash.

However, it is rare that all 4 air struts or bags are leaking, unless your compressor is dead completely I guess -

Get all 4 corners looked at to diagnose for leaks (I assume at least one or two are leaking, if not all 4) - Arnott Industries makes the replacements and sells a new compressor.

Worst case scenario your module might have been fried too - its a $700 part ending in 999 and needs to be coded to the vehicle.

The air suspension system works extremely well when it is fixed properly and quickly when something goes wrong. If you are having leaking air bags for weeks or months then you are also going to kill the compressor.

first off, thanks for the response Ricky.

I have the ride height button on my dash and its just blinking, I believe the bags on the front driver's side is leaking, the rear driver's side may be leaking too. the code the suspension is giving out is "distortion plausibility".

i'm gonna have the bags checked for leaks. I will see if I can find a compressor on craiglist or buy the repair kit on ebay.

do you think the repair kit below, will find the compressor:

Update:

This weekend I pulled an ABS Module out of a 03 X5 3.0 and put it into my 03 X5 4.4, and I went from the error codes in my first post to this:

I'm guessing I need to have the ABS Coded to my car.

Another question, Is the 2 axle Air Suspension Compressor on a 2004 Range Rover the same as the ones on X5s? They are practically identical and made by WABCO
