E53 Front Seat position button replacement

Moving the passenger seat today, the button just popped off. It had been previously glued into place by someone before me. The switch and the posts on the switch are fine, I just need a source for a replacement button. It is the up down forward and rear button on the front passenger side.

Any suggestions? Does anyone have a source without buying the whole switch?

Meanwhile, searching ebay and calling some salvage yards.
Thanks

Chris

Good day!!

Well, I was going to send you the one from my 2006, but it is a little different... I'll look at the one on my 4.6is later today. I'll send you that one if it's the same... PM me your address... or I can see if one is avail the next time I'm out at the PIY. I frequent the PIY’s and will just pick up one the next time I am there... They won’t even charge me for it since they think I have moved in...

Cheers!!!

^Must be nice to have good yards in your area. We don't ever get e53's... rarely e46's... and now never e30's. The BMW rows look mighty sparse lately.

I haven't checked them yet, but usually there is an accident victim in the yard, that might have a button that will fit.

It might be that I'm in an accident prone area... I just saw another younger female driving and watching a movie on her phone... The first one was holding the phone and the steering wheel at the same time... The one I saw yesterday on the way home had the phone covering her gauges playing the movie... Absolutely amazing!!

So, I'll check the part numbers and see if the seat control module is on other vehicles... I might get lucky... I have to go back to get some much needed cooling parts from the 4.4L that's out at the greenville yard... There is also a new 528i on the lot and I have my fingers crossed it might be a manual!! I need to start stocking up on the hard to get parts...

Okay... I looked at realoem... It seems you might have "Comfort seats"... That module has a more square button... Basic and sport seats have the wedge version I took off the 2006... I think the 2004 has sport seats... So, that will be the wedge version too... Oh well... I'll keep an eye out for one... Or you can get with ebay and look up part number 61307069620 which is the entire module... Realoem has it listed at $132 and change... Might be a little more with inflation...

Cheers!!!
