Check Valve / Wiper Nozzle /

https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...reeze-36f.html ------ While driving on the freeway, noticed washer fluid continually coming out of BOTH nozzles. When we parked, I just opened up the windshield fluid tank to let any air/vacum that might have occured... Came back to the car, SOL, I saw fluid on the floor everywhere. Hoping it wasn't the waterpump gasket , popped open the hood and there was fluid all over the plastic cowl. I presume washer fluid continued to come out of the nozzle area and bled the reservior dry while standstill. To further test, I filled it up about 1/6 full, just right below the indent on the tank. In 24 hrs of sitting, no fluid had leaked anywhere. The following day, usual driving and lo and behold, the tank is empty again. It's not leaking from the pumps. I found one thread on one poster possibly having a bad nozzle. Is it possible both could have gone bad @ the same time ? |
