Radio fuse keeps blowing
My X5 is an 03 3.0i with factory nav.
The fuse in the cargo compartment for the radio keeps blowing. The radio will just shut off randomly (little light on the corner of the nav goes out). This all began once I removed the Eonon headunit. While working with the battery disconnected, when reinstalled the factory nav the radio fuse popped on startup. I changed the fuse and it didn't pop again until nearly a month later. Then again after a couple weeks. This last one was just a couple days. I didn't have to modify the factory wiring in anyway to install the Eonon unit. It was simply plug and play. The Eonon unit did pop a fuse once while I was installing it. After hooking everything up I realized I had forgotten to connect the fakra antenna harness in the center console, upon connecting that the fuse popped. The unit worked just fine without it so I left it unplugged. Before I go tearing up the interior again for the third time looking for damaged wiring, does anyone have any input? Maybe my radio or antenna module are on their way out?
