Need Tire Size Help Please!

I currently have 255/50R19 on my front wheels, and 285/45R19 on the rears. I need to replace the rears asap. But, have found 4 Pirelli P Zero 245/50's on CL that are brand new for the price of what I would have to spend for 2. How do you think they would work on all 4 corners of the X?? Please let me know your thoughts. Need to do something right away.
Thanks

Your rear wheels are too wide. You'd need to swap them to be the same width as the front if you want to run square tires.

Also that size is pretty small.

More than 1.500" in width difference, wouldn't do that on my X.

they are ok for the front but too narrow for the rear.

CapeX5, I would NOT do that. On top of what others said, you will be sacrificing a lot of handling/stability. There is a reason why tires are staggered on the X in the first place. When I acquired my 4.4 it came with 255/50R19 all around. When I upgraded to staggered it was day and night. I could not believe someone drove it without.

Forget the CL tires and just replace whats bad on the back. It looks like you are running some type of staggard fitment on your X5. So I assume your rear rims are wider than your front rims. If the rims are all the same size in width then just match the new rear tires to the size of the front.

I'd be more worried about the diameter than the width.

If he's got the standard BMW Style 63 wheels (I have those on my 2001 3.0i, and think they were standard on the 4.4i back then), here are the wheel sizes:
9Jx19 EH2 (front)
10Jx19 EH2 (rear)
The spare is 7.5Jx17 SEH2

I have the same tire sizes he lists as existing:
285/45R19 107V rear; 255/50R19 103V front; 235/65R17 spare

On the other comments, yes, of course the first thing to be sure of is that rolling diameters are all close enough to eachother. Next thing is to make sure the tire will stay on the wheel. And perhaps finally to decide how well it will perform and look.

BTW, for those interested in what the wheel size codes mean, here are my notes on that:
9 - rim width in inches
J - code letter for flange type
x - symbol for full-drop center rim
19 - rim diameter in inches
EH2 - extended hump on the 2 rim shoulders
