First of all Ricky Bobby, welcome to NC. Where are you moving to? Hopefully you are coming to the Lake Norman area.
Second, I have scoured our forum for the best tires to replace the Michelin MXV4 tires that came on my 2004 E53. Michelin discontinued that tire and I am looking for a replacement that looks the same. The Latitudes have too much side tread for me, it looks like a mud and snow tire. What have you or other members found to be the best looking tire for the 18" sport wheel?

I'm having Conti UHP summer sport truck tires mounted today; I wasn't particularly impressed with the Cooper summer sports I ran the last couple of summers. I'll let you know what I think. On Tire Rack, they get better reviews than the more expensive Michelins.

Thanks for your input Riggodeaux. I have the Latitude Tour HP on the rear and I hate the look compared to the original Michelin MXV4 still on the front. The Conti looks good but my NTB near me doesn't have them. I was looking at the Sumitomo Tour Plus LXV to just replace all 4. Any opinions or knowledge on that tire?

I have 600 miles on a new set of the Yokohama YK-HTX from Discount Tires. I'm having to run them at 34 psi for a good balance between ride compliance and steering response. They're just a bit louder than the YK-580s they replaced, but not annoying. Haven't been caught on wet roads yet, and that's where the Yokohama tread compound really seems to shine, so we'll see how they do on a big Texas hill country trip this weekend.

2002 X5 3.0 321,950 miles
2014 428i 26,900 miles

2004 325i sold at 123,600 miles
2001 325i sold at 66,000 miles

I run the Vedersteins Ultrac and love the performance, grip and ride. In addition they look awesome on the X.

Same here, best looking tire bar none.

Can't wait to get a big/wide set of staggered W211 AMG wheels to get the look/insane hot weather grip on the Benz.

Even the wife is on board, hounding me for staggered VUVs on the MB. This can't be the same person getting on me about too many ties/rims in the garage last year, can it??? Hence the tire storage rack purchase.

I did convince the NTB shop manager to order the Conti UHP for me if I decide to go that way, only $7 difference from the Sumitomo so that's a no brainer there.

Do you have any links for the Vedersteins Ultrac? I notice several versions listed.

Lastly, I have an opportunity to get a set of 20" style 87 wheels with Conti DWS 06 tires on them with 80% tread for under $1400 with minor blemishes. What do you guys think? Go with the staggered 9.5/10.5 wheels with 315/275 tires on a non flared 2004 E53 3.0? I am going to drop at least $850 with mounting and balancing on the Conti UHP and not sure about the cost of the Vedersteins.

Again I thank guys all for assisting me in my decision. I know your time and knowledge is valuable.

Thank you for the link TiAgX5. It looks like they don't have the Vorti in my 255-55-18 size for my sport wheels if I stay with them. However, the price looks great on the 20" if I grab those style 87 wheels. Thanks again!

Check on E-bay for Group-A listings of these tires, call them and they will match price and ship same day. Group A is a few miles away from the hub where these tires enter the US, produced in the Netherlands. These guy deal in fresh rubber right off the cargo ships.
