m5 instrument fit 3.0?
I've been getting great information here for a while now, but just registered as a member. There are several threads re. ///M5 instrument cluster upgrade, but I didn't see my specific question answered. Hopefully, somebody knows. I know the ///M5 cluster with the gray gauges plugs into the X5 just fine, but will it work on my '01 3.0? My current cluster has only one reset pin on the left. Thanks in advance, --jg |

From what little knowledge I've gathered, there are a few things to look out for:
Double-check the dials on the unit you're considering! I believe there are dials out there that have an oil guage below the speedometer rather than a mileage guage. Obviously, if you didn't have the oil guage before, this unit would mean a double-loss, and obviously show it was modded (unsuccessfully) to any future buyer or owner. I'd love to hear from any others about any differences that might exist in fit or pins/connections for diff instrument options... Is a more recent (05-06) 4.4L instrument cluster an option for an '01 or '02 3.0L model? Tek it Easy! Mindfull |
