Arrow Feeler – East Coast X5 Gathering

Feeler – East Coast X5 Gathering (E53/E70/F15)

This is NOT a xoutpost sponsored event/gathering. Some board members have contacted me or spoken to me about possibly having a gathering to meet each other, talk cars, etc. In the DC/VA/MD area we do have a couple Cars & Coffee events but those are restricted to Sat/Sun mornings only and people from out of town rarely show up because of distance and length of event.

Now, I’ve been thinking about how we would be able to do something like this that would accommodate a fairly large amount (10+?) of vehicles without being kicked out of somewhere for loitering or not having permission to use their parking lots.

My idea: utilizing a local football game.
1) Large parking lot with ample space
2) Parking Passes are usually cheap
3) Stay extended period of time
4) Tailgate (who doesn’t like to tailgate!)
5) Walk around look at other vehicles, throw a ball around, etc
6) Won’t be kicked out
7) People can attend the game (if they want), others can continue to stay in the parking lot or depart at your leisure.
8) Restrooms accessible
9) Centralized location that can accommodate other board members traveling from different states.

In our area we have the Washington Redskins who play in Landover, MD and the Baltimore Ravens who play in the heart of Baltimore (I am not a fan of either team, Go Giants!) I know each team has at least 2 preseason home games – and actually the Redskins play the Ravens first pre-season game in Baltimore. I’ve personally been to FedEx Field (Landover, MD) and parking passes are cheap, I would assume the same for M&T Bank Stadium. I believe these locations can accommodate board members who may be traveling from DE, PA, NJ, and NY along with DC, MD, and VA. If we were all to buy the same colored parking lot pass we could park next to each other.

Scheduling:
Ravens: vs Washington 8/10/17, vs Buffalo 08/26/17
Redskins: vs Green Bay 08/19/17, vs Cincinnati 08/27/17
