SlickGT1 is on a distinguished road
Need help. Steering grinding when turning righ any speed.

So I have a funky ass problem and here is what I have done thus far.

Out of nowhere, I got a horrible metal on metal grind when turning right only. Standing still, moving, doesn't matter, same thing. I only get a turning left grind when going reverse, but it seems to grind equally in both directions when backing up.

So I checked the fluid level, perfect. I swapped out a bunch of hoses, fluid res, and pentosin flush a few years ago. They were sweating, but still should be fresh enough.

I jacked up car, no load on front, no noise at all. Shit.

I put car on ramps, turning right, noise was there. Had my neighbor help by steering while I was under there. I could feel the tie rods grinding, or so I thought. Got new tie rods. I figured never done anyway, and they felt very loose. Got the inner and outer ones, took about an hour to bang them out. Lower the car, drives great, no noises. Great. Go get allignment. 30 fooookin miles later the noise is back. Wtf.

My friend at OMG motorwerks is suggesting I check that the rack is tight, he said he experienced something similar in an e46 not too long ago. I will try that shortly. Like I'm an hour or so lol. I was hoping to get a few more ideas to check while I'm under there.

Noise is for sure coming from bottom. I can feel it in the pass side hub. It is hard to tell where it is coming from exactly because it's that loud and is literally metal on metal. Like you trying to press the thrust arm bushing in every time you even nudge the steering wheel to the right.
