Good day!
I don't have a write-up on it, but the short version to the longer process is that you need to remove the center console and remove the screws from underneath... You will need to release the tension on your E-brake so you can pull it up to its mechanical max... I think the shifter assembly also needs to come out or maybe just out of park... wiggle the cluster out and up... flip it and you should see the torx screws holding it in... Let us know if you need pictures... my center console is currently out... so, no problem there. Cheers!

It is. I went through it to replace a few of the clips that are in each cup holder. Monumental PITA.

Replacing the sliding lid requires complete removal however...

I did get the new clip design but I didn't like the idea of the old ones being inside the console. I thought it would be a reasonably easy thing to pull apart and retrieve the originals. It wasn't until I was too far along that I realized how much effort I had expended. Personally I don't like the new clips but they are definitely a lot easier to install.

![]() I managed to retrieve a couple of the missing clips with a straw and blu-tac - the others aren't rattling so there they stay.

I can't find a front cupholder with all 6 tabs in places. Some are always broken. It's not the tabs that break themselves, but where they insert in the cupholder, on the other side.
I found one cup holder at junk yard with 5 tabs out of 6. I'll try to re glue the holder somehow and maybe reinforce the other tabs so they don't break. Unfortunately the center console has to come out which is somewhat of a tedious task. |
