Stuttering at acceleration
I drive a X5 E53 330D Manual 6 Gear Box with 217.000 km from 2004 which I purchased one year ago. Since a few months it has symptoms which have increased by the time and that I can’t locate. The car stutters when accelerating (smooth and hard) in all gears especially at 1.500 – 2.500 revs. In the attachment you will find a short video where you see the vibrations in the shift lever. An appointment at the BMW Dealer takes 5 weeks (ridiculous). I have replaced : - both engine mounts. The mount of the transmission is old (some cracks) but in my eyes seams to be in suffisant good shape - the rear guibo (the front guibo is in good condition) - the rear drive shaft center mount and bearing The replacement of this parts didn’t help. The front axle shaft and output flanch of the transfer case is in good condition. Could the transfer case (chain ? something else) or the cv inner or outter CV joints be damaged ? Thanks in advance for any help https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw2...w?usp=drivesdk |

Thanks for the help. I think it s more a mechanical problem on the drivetrain. The front guibo os much badder then i thought (a lot of cracks). I ll purchase a new one next week. But i can t imagine that i ll change anything

I've heard of transfer case issues causing this. You could try a transfer case oil change and adaptation reset.
