Oliven Metallic 4.8is Production Numbers

I've been searching for an E53 and while doing so have come to the realization that Oliven Metallic is by far my favorite color. But I've only seen that color on a number of 4.4 E53s and haven't seen a 4.8is sporting that color.

Before I get my heart set on a long search for an Oliven Metallic 4.8is I guess I need to find out if there were even any 4.8is made with that color and sold in the North American market.

I've reviewed the exterior color page and see it was available between 2004-2006.

Does anyone have any production information, by color, for the 4.8is in North America?

Per the color chart in the thread below, it looks like it was only available on the 2004 3.0 and 4.4.

Dang! A little disappointed but at least I know now.

Thanks OrangeFurious. I hadn't run across that page in my searches. I appreciate your insight.

I noticed on that page it only covers the 2004 4.8is. Are there other pages that cover the 2005-2006? Would those be any different?

And the 4.8is I'm looking at is a 2004 in Sterling Grey. I don't see that on the chart. Or is that chart only for the US and not Canada?

Another color that comes to mind is Estoril Blue. Wasn't that an option for the 4.8is? Or only the 4.6is?

Estoril blue on 4.8is is very limited production. Its was only on April to June 2004 production in limited quantities, I believe. Later ones were custom orders.
LeMans blue is also a good color. I have both color X5s.

Nice! I'm certainly a fan of the Estoril blue. LeMans is nice, too. But Estoril is my choice of those two.

My 750iL is Steel Blue.

OMG- Would love a Steel Blue E38. My wife's E46 is Steel blue. So pretty on a longer platform. There's a SB E39 running around town. It always turns my head.

Estoril, too. We've been dancing with the idea of a replacement for her E46. Estoril is the color for now. I've seen only one E39 in Estoril. I was instantly hooked.

Do keep in mind though that while the Individual program is limited in the US, it has always been possible with the right dealer to choose your colors. A LONG time ago a guy on the E39 forums ordered his 530 in like mineral blue (or something) with light GREEN interior. Not my cup of tea to drive every day, but it did look very cool. IIRC, he dropped a $2500 non refundable deposit.

Another friend had an Arctic Silver E39 with Aubergine interior. Thats an eggplant deep purple. Again, not my cup at all, but it was unique.

EB was available on the 4.4 LCI's. Very rare color ordered however.
