so I've been waiting patiently and I finally got to an x5 in the u-pull yard the day it dropped and I grabbed the matching side view mirrors off as the passenger one on mine had burned through the glass long ago. swapped that one no problem but my driver side one has an extra plug on it? it is also a different "color" than the ones I got as well as my old passenger one, they all had a blue hue to them, this one is straight clear.
my question, what does this extra plug do and if I leave it unplugged will my mirrors still work fine? the replacement one only has the two little plugs up in the corner that are unhooked in the picture.
