X5 valve block $450 ex USA or UK...

L322 land rover valve block. $100 from the wrecker down the road....

They are identical in every way besides the rear air lines are 12mm instead of 40mm....

Your right there mate! This forum is great. These cars are fantastic and not that hard to maintain with all the cheap parts. And software available. It just takes some looking. And browsing of this forum.

It's amazing how many parts are the same as L322 land rover. Every single component of the air suspension is identical besides the airbags themselves. The rear airbag thread diameter coming out of the valve block and

the ecu extra plug. ( have confirmed this will work if you power the positive and negative terminal in the second connector... This allows a very cheap replacement of the ecu behind the glove box...
Confirming : landrover EHC. Ecu will work in bmw X5 by powering the power and earth supply pin in the extra plug... Landrover box price $150aud... RQT000013
X5 part number :37146773999 price $1100aud....

I purchased one. It worked correctly when I powered the pins. I read it through the tool. It worked identically to my bmw one.

But this was not my issue. It was the front right piston in the valve block was worn badly on the base.

I really hope this bit of information saves alot of people some time and money..... Possibly thousands of dollars. I could not find any information on this. So took it upon myself to try.

I have completely replaced most of the air suspension parts in my car now to try and diagnose this.. All with cheap landrover parts and it now works 100% correctly and I have not even spent $500.

Landrover parts bought and used and tested.
Ecu module. Tested works
Rear height sensors. Tested works.
Valve block. (outlet are different but all the valves, seals, actuators, fit into the X5 base.)
Air pump from boot. Tested works.

Basically. If you have air suspension problems. Get a cheap inpa cable. And start buying landrover bits.

Hope this helps!

I noticed some common parts among Mercedes as well. I absolutely would have done the same but I'm glad you broke the ice
