New to the forum. Having issues. No reverse lights.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum. I have a 2005 55 reg x5 3.0l d spot. Have a few niggling problems and from some research think they might be related. Hoping some one can point me in the right direction.
Bought my x5 in November last year. One of the first things I noticed was the dash lights. Or lack of them. No main beam fog or indercator tell tails. No engine management light but have a fault code for glow plug activation. Parking sensors do not work and reverse lights. The car has an aftermarket radio fitted with a can bus box but still the steering wheel controls dont work. Snap on diag will not connect to the LCM. Or the pdc. Have tested the pcd for power and it is receiving power. Have also swapped all led bulbs back to normal bulbs.

Please help. Its driving me mad.

Sounds like typical K-bus problem. If you have some after market component connected to the bus start by disconnecting it. Engine warning light won't be illuminated for glow system failure.

Thank you. As far as I know the only aftermarket thing fitted is the radio. But will unplug that and pull fuse 14 and see what hapens. Just to add. I have done the dial test and all lights work. Also seem like I dont get messages like bulbs out or doors open

Those are related to same thing if K-bus is crippled.

Next easy test after that radio is to unplug the 6-pin connector on Webasto heater in engine bay.
