Piped and carbed, cafe in progress. 1997 26' Eliminator eagle, 548 cid BBC built by me. 93mph. Lastly the reason why i am here, 05 x5 4.4. Purchased for pocket change and trailered home.

Good day!
I rebuilt my N62 in my 04 and the one in my sister's 05... I didn't really replace the secondary levers (guessing this is what you are talking about)... I've only seen two that have broken... My latest addition needs some attention (smokes badly all the time), so I might be doing another rebuild in the near future... What's the question? Oh, I had my 04 rebuild on here with pictures, but thanks to photobucket, they aren't visible... Maybe I'll go thru that posting and redo the pictures... Cheers!!!

thanx for the input. Yes the levers or the eccentric shafts are what i am talking about. It is a miseable SOB when cold. When i did coolant transfer pipe under intake i unhooked battery. I am guessin i wiped out some of the adaptive parameters that the previous owner had dealer put in. I do not know if this thing will start in winter in WI with the valvetronics acting up. any suggestions are welcome i would like to find some one besidea a dealer to help with this. i can sutdown, restart when still cold, not up to temp. and rev to 2500-3000 rpm. This could be destructive in winter. Alao if i unhook a valvetronic solenoid, it will run much better untill it warms .Then engine failsafe, and i cannot get it to move. so i have learned how to opperate it in this condition. just not fun. and has potential to destroy engine on cold start on a -20°F day. any other auggestions besides putting a heater on the pan?
