Wiper buffetting

Up until my most recent wiper blade change, I had just been purchasing refills for the oem wiper arms. The original driver side arm has an 'aero blade', which I wanted to keep on the car. Well since my auto parts store stopped carrying refills I went ahead and just bought the replacement blades and arms. Good grief, now I know why that aeroblade is there. At highway speeds, with the wipers on now my driver side wiper buffets violently against the glass on the downstroke, resulting in this horribly loud 'fwapping' sound. I guess I'm going to have to pull the wiper blade off of the new assembly and put it on the old OEM arm. Was curious if anyone else experienced the same issue.
