2005 X5 Sunroof Drains

I am at the end of my rope with my pano roof.

Seems both front drains are clogged, I tried using compressed air right at the openeing, that didnt work. So I fed some thin poly tube (ice maker line) down the openeing, I could only feed it probably half way down the pillar post i then shot compressed air down the tube. Still nothing. I also tried running thin but firm flexible wire down the rains, but again got stopped at the pillar and still nothing. Lastly I shot compressed air from the bottom, just under the front quarter panels, I ran out of time and gave up and did not resolve the problem.

I always have to make sure I park my X5 with the rear end on the low side or water pools at the front of the roof and eventually leaks into the cabin. Water leaks onto the center console, into the glove box and onto the drive and passenger floor. It's just a matter of time when a short developes and somethign major happends to the electrical.

Should I start removing the pillar covers, will the drain hose be visible?

Anyone advice would be appreciated.

Damn, could it be a Toronto X5 problem?

Just encountered this myself yesterday!

Water dripping down from the map light area, glove box was all wet. Opened up the sunroof to see a huge amount of water pooled up at the front.

Pulled out the shop vac and sucked up all the water I could.

Any pointers as to where the drains area exactly so that I could try and use the compressed air trick to see if I can dislodge anything stuck?

Ok, so I took some grass trimmer spool just to check the drains before I start pulling my interior pieces to check for the kink that was described in the above ^^ post, and on the passenger side I was only able to get the wire down about 6 inches, whereas the drivers side I was able to get the wire down about 2 feet!

Should I try compressed air down the drain first, before pulling panels, or should I just pull them and it would most likely be the drain is kinked?
